LaST WeeK...

The semester has come to an end and this is our last week of the course..
I learnt a lot in this course regarding things on the net.
About blogging, i learnt a lot, and what do i like most is the fact that you can share your opinions and drop by at your friend's post to give comments. However, what i dislike is that the post were all narrowed to the subject of ONLY reflecting the studies and not to actually relieve our tense and steam...

I gained a lot of knowledge from blogging, i learnt how to edit pictures and link to websites, i also learnt about to make interesting layout and change the settings.

Talkking about the course, i had a great time finding new things that can be integrated between technology and resources, working in groups and learning new topics.
What i dislike are the fact we were grouped by the lecturer and not by ourselves. the reason is some of staying in different part of KL and tend to having hard time to meeet for discussion. End up, there were no meaning of group discussion, as we do not really gather and discuss, we merely do our own part and just attached it to amke a whole and submit it on the due date. there were no group working at all.

Another thing is that the fact that there were too many tasks and assignments bombarding us at the same time, i tend to get confuse which to give more focus. Thus, the tsasks which suppose to help us to improve became like a buredn to us to finish on time. we were more to finish it up in a rush rather than learning from it.

I have learnt a lot of things from the course, such as blogging, photo editing, video and audio editing and all the things regarding technology. Of course i din't expect myself to be good in doing all these things, but now i found myself capable of editing, encoding and decoding, thanx to my friend who were always there to tell me what to do and to guide me.

What i wanted to learnt but did not get a chance would be the trraditional method as i did not really get a chance to do anything traditionally, all the resources were more to technology.

But i learnt a lot and thanx for a ll the knowledge!!

Greetings..
In order to make collage, i went through an interesting time..
i alwz wonder how they had actualy manage to have time to do this collage.. It seems to be so difficult, however, i manage to do the collage within 5 to 10 minutes..Of course my collage was simpler than those you will bump into on the net..but what i am trying to say here is that, it is not hard.. but you have to be sure of what software you are using. I used, photoscape..everything was there and i only need to drag the pictures to the ready made frames and done!
It is interesting easy and fast!

Technology does make things work easier and faster. i really appreciate it and admire those who have genius ideas to come up with softwares as such which makes your life easier..

Don't wait long, go n try yourself!

Four Skills

I have totally forgotten to reflect about the assignmnets on the four skills that we had done. the assignmnets which were actually quite hectic and strssfull (due to the load and criteria that have to be achieved), had actualy became an eye-opener to me that not all teaching materials need ot be technology. It was very hard for me ( i am not sure how others feel) to think about good teaching materials that can integrate technology. This is because the lesson plan is only a half an hour lesson plan (except for writing of course). in half an hour, thinking of setting up the laptop, Lcd, projectors, smartboard had actually give me an idea of thre goes half an hour burned just to set up those things. I didn't mean to say that it is not good to integrate technology as it is actually fun and interesting to use the technology. i believe personally that integrating technology will actually stimulate the interest of the pupils towards the learning of the day. However, i do think that the traditional will be more practical due to the time consume. we can still make use of paper, pencils, newspaper, brochure, magazines and so on to make the pupils drawn to the teaching and learning. it depends on how we manipulate those interesting resources. it does not only save time but it appeals to the daily life approach as well.
Thus, i tried my best to integrate both technology and non-technology resources in my four lesson plans of different skills. i do hope that those lesson plans will be very useful for those who would like to use it for their teaching practice. i really do hope to get back the lesson plan so that i can try it out in schools later when i go for teaching practice in order to access which is more efficient... hope you guys try yours as well..(no point you put so much effort PLANNING how to do a lesson plan but NOT CARRYING it out) Good Luck!!

Placing documents on the web is a new and exciting format for publishing documents. You can produce creative web sites using plain HTML or any web publishing software appropriate to your ability and skill level. Teachers can design web sites that contain their assignments for the week, goals for the year and pictures of their classroom. Designing a web site could be a year long activity for an entire class. Included below are some popular web designing software programs.

Thus, i learnt that there are many ways to integrate technology inot he teaching learning. what matter is how you are exploiting it. The way that you maximize the usage of the software actually reflects your intelligence in integraating hte technology. Well, i hope that i am intelligent enough to manipulate all what i have learnt in this course in order to produce a good teaching and learning packages for my future students in schools!!

Resources are available in two different categories; technology and non-technology. Both are have the pros and cons. It is not denied that both are useful for the teaching and learning. Having a hectic time and hard time in managing tasks, materials and learning, an e-book will be handy enough for one to be systematic. An e-book contais everything and is linked to the previous page and next page. It can also be linked to the home page and the best is you can link ot the website that you wanted to enter. Having tedious of works and piles of tasks, e-book atually manage your working style.
However, if e-book is the only accessible item that you have, then you are sensing trouble if there is a sudden power cut or blackout in hte school when you are at the peak of presenting an important message using an e-book. the traditional method will come to save the day. this is why having a back-up is like having a saviour for the day. Thus, both materials ; technology and non-technology can be integrated with one another in orer to have a seccessful teaching resources.

Greetings.. I was very happy to know that the exam was done before Deepavali..giving me a great relief that i do not nee to think hard and tense myself about the exam. everything ends before my festival of lights..then this portfolio assignments coming..knowing nothing about it, now i am really pressured to do all the work in rush before i catch my flight on only TWO days before Deepavali..haih!! I do hope my work done for this portfolio would nopt be wasted or thrown away as i will be very sad to see my effort settling in the rubbish bin. i do hope that this portfolio will not be used to BENEFIT others. Thank you for everything and even though i am stil not clear about being a techno savvy, i had a great experience working with people i trust and i REALLY LEARNT a lot!!

NoT DeNieD...

It is not denied that i learn a lot from this course, nowdays i can do my own e-book, my own vuiedo editing, audio editing and i can even create my own movie..(short one of course).. i learn a lot of usful websites and software as well.
i learn how to convert files, encode, decode , upload and more things.
however.. therre are one thing that is really troubling me.. i do not have enough time to really go through everything.. either i am to slow..OR this course is going to fast.. end up i only get to learn basic things before i jump into another topic.. however, i plan to go through in details all the topic that i have done by myself using the knowledge provided through my FRIENDS and this course when i have free time in my holidays...
It's not denied that i learn a lot but at the sam etime it is not denied as well that i learn only basic and not more than that due to TIME consumptions.

Why No NoRMaL ReSouRCeS?

I always wonder since the first day this course starts..why there are no other resources being taught other than those related to technology? are we only teaching technology through resources.. i love to learn new things and this course taught me a lot about using technology and integrating it in the teaching and learning in the classroom. however, i really think that we should also learn all the traditional ways as not all schools are equipped with enough resources on technology. some do not have enough facilities and they do not even have internet access. hmmm.. 18 seniors were posteed to rural areas in Sabah ans 8 were posted to rural areas in Sabah. the point i am trying to make here is not that we shouldn't learn resources on technology but we shouldn't forget the traditional ways as u may not know when u need it... teachers be prepared for the worst!! hehehe.. Chow!!

AssiGnMeNTs or TaSks?!!

Assignments or tasks? Am i the only one getting confuse of this question? Nowdays i hardly understand which one to give more concentrations on. i am having a hard time to cope with my time to finish all my assignments and tasks. The fact that the time is short, the due date is around the corners, the groups are always different..ARRGGH!!! it is killing me.. i hope someone can show and guide me how to cope with all this without stress.. how ? how? i am helples..it is not denied that i am learning a lot about technology in this course but i hardly have time to relay focus in detail and grab the information as i feel that we are going to fast..thanx to my frens that they had never been tired explaining to me and answering all my dumb questions.. thanx guys!! Still..the questions is..which ARE assignments and which ARE tasks?!!

PHoTo eDiTiNG..

today we learned about photo editing..
such an intersting topic tat i had alwz wanted to learn since last time..
i alwz wonder how techno can be used as a magic to turn a small pic into a big size,,resize of course..
colour and the effect changing
and the most interesting parts are when we manage to omit someone and replce our face on that spot..hehehe,, that would be realy cute right?
well, i think using technology to manipulate all the resources are really good, i am not only learning something to apply for my teaching later bt i am also additionally learning something which can be useful for me and also to sharpen my skills..
yet to find out a lot in this photo editing skills.. Thank you Puan Foziah..
will write more in my next post once m done wid my photo editing..that's our task for this week..

ReSouRCeS uSiNG TeChNoLoGy..

greetings..
class started around 10am.. i don't know whether it was the weather or wa it my mood that contributed to my dullness in the class. but anyway thanx to Puan Foziah to wake me up, today we were given an assignment, at first i do not have a single idea about what was the task all about, but luckily it was a group work.. when it came to the topic of encoding and decoding, there were a lot of alien terms ringing in my ears.. i don't even know what was it but i realised some of my frens has a wide knowledge about these since they were answering non-stop whenever Puan Foziah asked, i rely hope they won mind helping me out in this technology related resources.. i am rely having a hard time.. hey guys!! rely hope u guys will give me a hand ya!!

My First Day!!

You guys might be wondering why am i late in posting aboutmy first day..
actually was having a hard time encountering the blog.. i am not very technio savvy and creating a blog and understanding the functions of it take me a lot of time.. anyway thanx to resources course that i was able to have an opportunity to create a blog and to get mingle with it.. i hope to learn more about it.. thanx Puan Foziah! My first day for this course was not that bad after all.. i managed to adjust mysely to understand what was going on.. i realised that i still have a long way to go to complete this journey in UM.. yet to find out a lot of things regarding technology..
wait ya... M coming to ur way technology!!
